Pandora Media Picks Brian McAndrews as New CEO –

Joe  Kennedy did a fantastic job of navigating the waters and growing Pandora into what it is today. And now, with Brian McAndrews at the helm, they may be poised to better monetize current listeners. McAndrews has an impressive history and pedigree.

Mr. McAndrews in 1999 took over digital agency Avenue A and, as president and CEO, built it into aQuantive, which was the fastest-growing digital marketing company in the world at the time. The company was acquired by Microsoft for $6 billion in 2007. After serving as a senior vice president at Microsoft and running its advertiser and publisher solutions group, McAndrews joined Madrona Venture Group as LLTP 0.00% an investing partner in 2009. He also serves on the boards of New York Times Co., NYT -0.26% GrubHub Seamless and AppNexus.
